The 2024 Inter-Services Dinghy Team Racing Championships was held at Bowmoor Sailing Club on 25/26 Apr.

RAFSA fielded a relatively inexperienced team who competed extremely well.  Some excellent battles on the water but, unsurprisingly, we weren’t able to challenge RNSA A Team or ASA A Team (now a much-strengthened outfit with new ex-university team racers).  Both finals went down to 3 races with RNSA winning both the A and the B Cup.  A great few days sailing, racing and socialising, see pictures below.

Special mention to our sponsors, Nova Systems, whose support allowed us to fund a social event on Thurs night and provide engraved

 glassware for all the winners.  A big thank you to our volunteer helpers, Principal Race Officer Martin Smethers; Race Committee Simon Horsfield (RNSA) and Darren Kirkham (ASA); and the umpires, Jon and Carol Haines, Steve Watson and Nigel Vick.

  • 9 – 11 Oct 24 – The RAF Championships, the Brady Trophy
